Insert text with links and placeholders
Some placeholders are replaced with links. These can be quite long and cryptic. In emails, these placeholder links can be configured as clickable text.
Which placeholders are available?
There are two types of placeholders. In documents, letters, and email templates, they start with a # followed by a description of what content will be pulled from the system. For example, the placeholder #CurrentDate inserts the current date at that point.
When creating HTML templates, such as in email designs or invoice templates, you use placeholders that start with a $. In our example, the placeholder for the current date is ${currentDate.date}.
An overview of all available placeholders can be found in the appendix of this article.
Insert placeholders
Navigate to Communication / Management / Templates. Click on the three-dot menu in the row of the email template and select Edit template content. Click the # symbol to insert placeholders.
Select the placeholders and cut them.
