Prerequisites
Only serial messages with the status Draft can be scheduled for future sending. Make sure your serial message is fully prepared (name, recipient list, and template) before scheduling the sending.
The scheduling function is available for all types of single-studio serial messages, including serial emails, serial SMS, and serial letters. For Enterprise customers, scheduling also works for cross-studio serial emails (Communication / Messages / Multi Studio - Serial Emails).
Schedule the sending of a serial message
Instead of sending a serial message immediately, you can set a sending time in the future. Here's how:
- Navigate to Communication / Messages / Serial Messages.
- Open the desired serial message with the status Draft.
- On the details page, select the option Schedule sending.
- For single-studio serial emails, you will find a dedicated button on the details page.
- For cross-studio serial emails (Enterprise), select the option via the multi-select button next to the Send button.
- A dialog opens. Select the desired date and time for sending.
- Click Save to confirm the schedule.
Please note:
- The scheduled time must be at least 10 minutes in the future.
- Scheduling a sending time in the past is not possible.
After saving, the serial message changes to the status Scheduled. The message will be sent automatically at the specified time.
Edit a scheduled sending
You can change the scheduled sending time at any time, as long as the message has not yet been sent.
- Open the scheduled serial message or use the context menu in the list view.
- Select Edit schedule.
- The scheduling dialog opens with the currently set date and time.
- Adjust the time and save the change.
Cancel a scheduled sending
If you want to cancel a scheduled sending, you can cancel the schedule. The serial message will not be sent and will return to the status Draft.
- Open the scheduled serial message or use the context menu in the list view.
- Select Cancel schedule.
- Confirm the cancellation in the displayed dialog.
Optionally, you can activate the Delete draft checkbox in the confirmation dialog to remove the serial message at the same time as cancelling. This option is deactivated by default.
"Scheduled" status in the overview
Scheduled serial messages receive the new status Scheduled. This status is displayed in two places:
- List view: In the overview of all serial messages, you can see the "Scheduled" status as well as the scheduled sending time.
- Details page: On the details page of the respective serial message, the scheduled sending time is also displayed.
This way, you always have an overview of all upcoming serial messages and can prepare your communication in advance.
