As your partner for member support and studio management, the topic of data protection is an important concern for us, because we are responsible, together with you as the operator, for protecting the data of your members and employees in the best possible way.
That's why we've implemented a compliance strategy to ensure data protection at our company.
Important contents
Legality: The Magicline provides the ability to process and store personal data in a lawful manner.
Deletion of data: The Magicline leaves the operator the option of configuring data deletion periods via the data protection settings so that the data is processed correctly for the relevant business purpose.
Confidentiality: All employees have been obligated to handle data confidentially in accordance with Article 28 Paragraph 3 b. Technical measures have also been taken to allow only authorized employees direct access to certain data.
Separation requirement: All customer data is processed and stored in the Magicline database strictly separated from each other, in different schemas and in client-capable form. Technical and organizational measures have been taken to ensure this separation at all times.
Data security: As a technical service provider, we are responsible for the technical and organizational measures to protect your data. Therefore, we have created all the technical foundations during the development of the software to ensure the highest level of security. This includes, among other things, encryption, a backup and restore plan, infrastructure secured against multiple failures, 24/7 monitoring of all infrastructure components, maintenance access only for selected employees via private key procedure, and much more.
We are constantly expanding and improving our security measures to keep pace with technical progress.
Data portability: According to Art. 20 DSGVO, your members have the right to export their membership data in a machine-readable format. With Magicline, you can provide this to your requesting members at the touch of a button and thus comply with the requirements of the DSGVO without any further effort.
Transparency: As a commissioned data processor, we are transparent in the way we process data for our clients. This includes clear regulation in our ADV regarding subcontracting relationships as well as incident management.
Commitment: Protecting our customer data is our top priority. For this reason, our managers and employees have committed themselves to pursuing the goals of data protection and support this in their daily actions. To ensure this, we rely on technical and organizational measures, transparency, risk management and other measures that are currently being developed.
Data protection officer: Magicline has commissioned an external data protection consultancy with DS Extern and appointed Marc Althaus as Magicline's external data protection officer.
