Options after an extraordinary termination
An extraordinary termination in Magicline sets the end date of the contract and prevents any changes that could result in a contract extension. Therefore, it is not possible to enter an freeze period retroactively for a contract that has already undergone an extraordinary termination. Freeze periods usually lead to an extension of the contract term, which is not permissible in the case of an extraordinary termination.
Steps to enter an freeze period after revoking a termination
To still enter an freeze period for a customer who has carried out an extraordinary termination, you must first revoke the termination. Here are the detailed steps you should follow:
- Revoke termination: Go to the Member Overview and select the area where the contracts are managed. Here, you can revoke the extraordinary termination via the three-dot menu next to the contract. Also, revoke the termination of additional modules and fees if desired.
- Enter freeze period: After revoking the termination, you can create an freeze period in the freeze Periods and Access Restriction tile via the three-dot menu. Choose between contract freeze period and member freeze period. Note that entering an freeze period extends the contract accordingly.
- Re-enter termination: After the freeze period has been entered, you can carry out the extraordinary termination again if desired. Note that the original end date of the contract will be postponed due to the freeze period.
