Purpose of push notifications
If an appointment is rescheduled at short notice or a class is cancelled (e.g. due to a trainer's illness), you can quickly notify members via the app messaging function.
Step-by-step guide
1. Edit or cancel the appointment:
- Open the relevant class or appointment in the system.
- Make the necessary changes or cancellations.
2. Enable push notification:
- When saving, a prompt will appear asking if you want to notify members via an app message.
- This option is enabled by default but can be deactivated if desired.
3. Save changes:
- Confirm and save the changes.
- Members who are connected to your studio via the app and have notifications enabled will receive a push notification about the appointment change or cancellation.
What do they contain?
The push notification contains a brief message about the appointment change. However, the delivery of the message depends on the individual device settings of the member. The length of the message is limited to what can be displayed in a standard push notification so that the information can be seen and understood even on a lock screen.
Important notes
- Only members who use the app, are connected to your studio, and have push notifications enabled will receive the message.
- Sending a push notification does not guarantee that all members will receive it, as it can be deactivated in the smartphone settings.
