Direct debits in Magicline are executed for domestic and foreign accounts. The account must be in EUR or an automatic conversion must be done by the bank.
Foreign accounts
Foreign bank accounts are possible in principle. However, it is not possible to tell from an IBAN whether the account behind it is kept in EUR or in the foreign currency and whether a conversion takes place automatically. In this case, it is the customer's responsibility to provide a functioning bank account. The Magicline can only look at the IBAN to see if it basically supports the direct debit procedure. This information belongs to the bank, not to the account. There is no interface from banks to query the necessary information to determine the currency or similar.
