Fast lane
To set permissions for employees to create a training schedule, follow these steps:
- Navigate to Resources / Employees / Roles.
- Select the role of the employee.
- Edit the permissions of the role.
- Ensure the required permissions are enabled for training schedule creation.
- Save the changes.
Understanding Competences vs. Permissions
Competences and Permissions are two distinct concepts within Magicline software. Competences refer to the skills and qualifications that a person possesses. Permissions, on the other hand, determine what actions a technical user can take within the software.
For example, if you want an employee to create a training schedule, you must ensure they have the correct permissions assigned, not just the relevant competence.
Setting Permissions for training schedule creation
To allow an employee to create a training schedule, you need to configure their permissions accordingly. Simply assigning them competences like "trainer" or "personal trainer" is not sufficient. Follow these steps to set the necessary permissions:
- Navigate in the menu to Resources / Employees / Roles.
- Select the role assigned to the employee you want to enable.
- Edit the permissions associated with this role.
- Make sure that permissions related to training plan management are enabled.
- Save the adjustments.
Changing Employee Roles
If the current role assigned to the employee does not have the required permissions, you may need to either modify the existing role or assign a new role that has the necessary permissions.
To modify the existing roles go to Resources. Select the role you want to modify and update the permissions as needed.
To assign a new role to an employee, follow these steps:
- Navigate to Resources and open the profile of the employee whose role you want to change.
- In the Access Data section, either create a new facility access or edit the existing one.
- Choose the facility and add the necessary role and save the changes.
Now, the employee should have the necessary permissions to perform specific actions in the Magicline software.
Please note that not every employee has the authority to manage roles and permissions in the software.
Note: You find the employee competences set within the same employee profile in the first upper left widget
