It can always happen that a member forgets his card. In Magicline you have the possibility to count the lost cards, in order to charge the member with a fee when a certain number is reached.

How to calculate fees for replacement cards

Since, depending on the contract, different fees can be charged, you must first create the "Replacement card configuration" under Settings / Member management / Replacement cards.

With a click on the three-dot menu you can edit or delete existing configurations.

In addition to the name and the replacement card fee, you can also define how many cards can be replaced free of charge.

The replacement card configuration is then linked to one or more rates. For this purpose, the corresponding configuration is stored for the term.

For example, you can allow members with an expensive premium plan to replace their card for free an unlimited number of times, while the member with a cheaper plan has to pay €5 each time.

So if a member has lost his card, you have to select "Forgot card / create replacement card" in the three-item menu of the check-in area.

After the member has been searched and found, you can either directly create a replacement card (possibly subject to a fee) or note the forgotten card.

According to the configuration of themember rate, a fee will be charged depending on how often the member forgets the card .

If a member rate does not have a replacement card configuration stored, then you will be shown a hint text and no additional fee will be charged automatically.

The new card number must be stored and saved. For this you can either use the reader or enter the card number with the keyboard.

After the replacement card has been saved, the member can forget his card again, without any costs, until the deposited number is exceeded.
