Quick guide to the operation of the functionality:
- Settings / Product management / Products
- Click on Create product.
- After saving, click on the product and on Create variant.
- If necessary, enter membership or tariff codes.
Difference product ↔︎ Variant
A product can consist of several variants. It is the article itself, which is then offered in different variants.
Examples:
- Water, sparkling (product) in the fillings 0,2L, 0,5L, 0,75L, 1,0L (variants)
- Energy drink 0,33L (product) in the flavors vanilla, strawberry, raspberry, lemon (variants)
Create product
Under Settings / Product management / Products click on Create product in the upper right corner. Select the locations where the product should be offered. Enter a meaningful product name and select the product group. Set the normal tax rate and the rate for ToGo sales. Finally, set any deposit that may be due. Finally, click Save.
Create variant
Now search for the newly created product in the overview and click on it. The product properties will be displayed. Click on Create Variant in the upper right corner. In the dialog, enter a meaningful name for the variant and fill in additional information about the article number and EAN and determine a general sales price. You can set different prices for individual locations.
Assign membership and tariff codes
You can add different prices for each variant by assigning member and tariff codes. This is explained in the respective Help Center articles:
Display in sale
In the sales you will find the product below the product group. By clicking on it, you will see the offered variants, which you can add to the shopping cart.
