What is a Membership upgrade?
A Membership upgrade allows you to modify an existing membership. For instance, if you offer various memberships in different price categories with different services, this feature can be useful for you. Your members can use the self-service to upgrade their membership independently, concluding a new membership without you needing to take action.
You can create the options and memberships that your members can choose from.
Create a Membership upgrade
To create a Membership upgrade, go to Settings in the main menu. Under Membership signing, you'll find the Membership Upgrade tab.
Here, click on Create Membership Upgrade at the top right, and a window will open. Now, you can give the upgrade a name.
The upgrade will then appear in the list with the name you provided.
Customize Membership upgrade
When you click on the upgrade, a new overview will open where you can make various adjustments.
You will see several tiles, each with its own three-dot menu. You can manage the settings for each topic through this menu.
The three-dot menu at the top right allows you to enable or disable the Membership upgrade for different locations.
Under the "Base Plan" tile, you specify for which memberships this upgrade is available. When you edit this option through the three-dot menu, a window will open with a drop-down list of your available plans.
The second tile is for the MySports App display. Here, you can adjust the appearance of the offer in self-service for your customers, adding images and texts to describe the offer.
In the top-right tile, you choose the offer your members can upgrade to. You will be shown a list of all your existing offers to select from.
With the Promotion feature, you can ensure that the option for a Membership upgrade is visible in different places, such as the app dashboard, your studio page, or the self-service portal.
In the final tile, you can edit the text displayed to your customers when they want to complete a Membership upgrade. Your customers must confirm this text when completing an upgrade by ticking a checkbox.
Once you've made your adjustments, remember to set the Membership upgrade to Active for the locations where it should be displayed.
