What is the Fiskaly SIGN DE x Submission API?
The Fiskaly SIGN DE x Submission API is an interface that enables the management of taxpayer, business, client, and submission information in connection with the legal requirements for submitting a declaration on the use of electronic recording systems (ERS) in accordance with Section 146a (4) of the German Fiscal Code (AO) and Section 1.16 of the Application Decree to the Fiscal Code (AEAO).
This API supports:
- The entry and validation of all relevant data
- The creation of the submission in XML format
- Legally compliant transmission to the tax authorities
What data does a Submission contain?
A Submission is a structured summary of information about a business unit with its registered cash registers. The following data is reported to the relevant tax office with the transmission:
- System details: Cash register type, model, serial number, software used
- TSE data: Serial number, certificate, commissioning date, TSE type
- Operational data: Purchase date, commissioning date, location of the cash register
- Changes: Decommissioning, replacement, or other modifications
Important: A Submission is transmitted as a collected report. It is not the regular transmission of individual transactions, but an occasion-based report.
What prerequisites must be met?
- The Submission API must be activated in the Marketplace
- The cash registers must be correctly stored in the system and assigned to a business unit
- A valid TSE must be available and active
How to activate the Submission API in the Marketplace
- Open the Marketplace in Magicline
- Search for Fiskaly Submission API
- Activate the integration with one click
- Once activated, the function will be available under Finances / Cash Registers
How to create a cash register report (Submission)
- Go to Finances / Cash Registers
- Click on “Create cash register report” in the top right
- A new entry will be generated in the “Exports” table
- This entry contains the aggregated data for the Submission
Notes on verification and transmission
Before you transmit the data:
- Open the context menu of the entry
- Select Download files
- Carefully review the generated Preview.pdf
The taxpayer is legally required to verify the data before transmission. By sending the report, you confirm the accuracy of the information provided. Incorrect data can be replaced by submitting a new, corrected report.
If everything is correct:
- Open the context menu again
- Select Transmit cash register report
- Confirm the transmission (see note in the interface)
Legal notes on submission
According to Section 146a AO, there is no obligation for regular, automatic transmission (e.g. monthly or annually). Transmission only takes place upon request by the tax authority or on specific occasions such as system changes or audits.
You are personally responsible for complying with the legal requirements and ensuring the accuracy of the reported data.
