What is a change of contract partner?
A change of contract partner (CoCP) occurs if the owner of your studio changes or a new company takes over the studio. This can also be the case with a rebranding or withdrawal from a chain or franchise system if this requires a new contract.
What is not a change of contract partner?
A CoCP does not apply in the following cases:
- If only the company name or legal form changes and this is documented in a commercial register extract.
- In the event of a complete merger of two companies, which is also documented in the commercial register extract.
In these cases, please simply send us the corresponding commercial register extract.
Instructions: Requesting a change of contract partner
You can initiate the CoCP directly in your software. The screenshots from the document show you the forms in German and English.
- Open the "My [...] Contract" area and click on "Edit or terminate contract for this studio".
- Select the option "Request change of contract partner".
- In the next step, you must download the provided PDF document.
- Fill out this document and have it signed by the correct contact persons:
- Buyer: The new contract partner (e.g., new studio owner, new company name).
- Seller: The current contract partner (e.g., current studio owner, current company name).
- When everything is completed, attach the signed document as an attachment to the form. You can also leave comments if necessary.
- Submit the form.
What happens after the request?
After you have submitted the request, the following happens:
- We check the document for completeness and correctness.
- We will then send a new contract to the buyer (the new contract partner).
- As soon as this new contract is returned signed, we can initiate the next necessary steps (if applicable).
Possible next steps are:
- Migration of data to a new studio (including test runs, etc.).
- Creation of new access for the new owner to the existing studio.
- Support for configuration adjustments.
Important deadlines
Please note that you must inform us about the change of contract partner as early as possible. This is the only way to ensure that all necessary checks and steps can be taken in time before the change.
A lead time of at least 4 weeks before the planned data transfer should be observed.
