We as Magicline want to offer you the best possible experience at all times when using the Magicline. Therefore, we invest a lot of time and money in the technological infrastructure for your Magicline.
In recent years, we have brought more and more studios onto the Magicline software, constantly adapting our infrastructure as we go. With over 4,000 studios using Magicline, we finally had to take the next step and move to a more scalable solution. Therefore, we invested a lot of time to find the right service provider and to be able to continue to ensure healthy growth.
We ultimately chose the service provider Amazon, which offers cloud computing via Amazon Web Services (also known as AWS). Cloud computing provides easy access to servers, storage, databases and a full range of application services over the Internet. As a result, we are able to adapt the required capacities of our infrastructure to existing requirements at any time and are thus much more flexible. At the same time, this increases the speed of implementation in the further development of our products by allowing us to concentrate on the essential aspects, namely the products themselves.
For the operation of our infrastructure, data protection is not a necessary evil for us, but an imperative requirement. When looking for our service provider to operate our infrastructure, we therefore paid particular attention to compliance with data protection guidelines. Amazon Web Services clearly stands out in this regard and offers us, as the operator, a maximum of options to be able to work in a data protection-compliant manner.
As a provider of Amazon Web Services (AWS), Amazon is certified according to the ISO 27108 standard (https://bit.ly/2yN9qUV). ISO 27018 specifically addresses the regulation of the processing of personal data in a cloud and contains numerous obligations for the cloud provider to ensure the best possible data protection.
In addition, AWS is also compliant with the CISPE Code of Conduct (https://aws.amazon.com/de/compliance/cispe/) for data protection. CIPSE is an association of cloud infrastructure providers (also called “Infrastructure as a Service”) and offers cloud services to European customers. The CISPE Code of Conduct ensures that cloud infrastructure providers meet the required data protection standards to protect their data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation.
