This article is about the freeze periods
Quick guide
Member view / freeze periods and access restriction
Select three-point menu and select "create member freeze period".
Fill in and save rest period data
Freeze periods come about for a variety of reasons, but you probably know that better than we do. Therefore, we have the possibility to manage different types of freeze periods in Magicline.
All freeze periods have one thing in common, they are entered and calculated exactly to the day.
In the member view you will find a tile freeze periods and access restrictions, where you can see the freeze periods that your member has had so far.
You can then manage the freeze periods using the familiar three-point menu.
Create freeze period
Via the menu item Create member freeze period, a new freeze period can be created.
First, the reason for the freeze period is entered. Then the exact date of the freeze period can be determined. It is possible to create 1 day as well as several months.
Then the type of the freeze period is selected. The following are available:
Non-contributory freeze period with contract extension
In this case, the time during which the freeze period is active will be non-contributory. If the contribution has already been paid in the months of the freeze period, a credit note is generated in the corresponding amount and shown in the member account. As soon as further claims become due, this credit is automatically offset. In addition, the contract is extended by the corresponding period and receives there the pro rata contributions of the rest period.
Non-contributory freeze period without contract extension
This freeze period also generates credits for the freeze period. In this case, however, the contract is not extended by this period.
As the last field when creating the freeze period, a corresponding idle contribution can be defined. The member does not have to pay any more contributions for the corresponding period; instead, an idle contribution is due. This idle contribution is always valid for the entire freeze period.
Edit freeze period
You can also edit an existing freeze period, e.g. if the member wants to leave the freeze period earlier. The input is the same as when creating a new freeze period.
Delete idle time
Created freeze periods can also be deleted. In doing so, all credits in the member account will be cancelled, and the receivables will become due again. If necessary, these will then be collected directly during the next collection.
There are currently constellations where deleting a freeze period is not possible, e.g. if this would retroactively change a contract although other changes have already been made. This happens only in rare cases. If this happens to you, please contact our support via the support chat, so that we can solve this together with you.
