Settings / Finance / Accounts
In Magicline, you can adapt your accounts to the chart of accounts you are using in just a few simple steps. No matter if you use SKR03, SKR04 or another chart of accounts - with the flexible accounts of Magicline you can design the accounting according to your requirements. You can find this function under Settings / Finance / Accounts.
System accounts
In the System accounts tab you will find accounts that Magicline uses for logging business transactions and that are not revenue-relevant. The system accounts are fixed, but can be adapted to your own chart of accounts. In concrete terms, this means that you can change the account number of these accounts - however, the tax rate and description cannot be changed due to their system relevance.
Revenue accounts
Revenue accounts are responsible for recording the revenues generated from rates, additional modules, flat rates, sales of goods, etc. Revenue accounts are typically structured by sales tax rate. On the system side, Magicline specifies two revenue accounts for each sales tax rate to which revenues are recorded.
For revenue accounts, there is a distinction between system accounts and individual accounts. For system accounts, you can only change the account number - the name and VAT rate cannot be changed. By default, Magicline posts revenues to these accounts.
Create your own revenue accounts
You have the possibility to create your own revenue accounts in addition to the existing revenue accounts. In conjunction with the Magicline posting rules, you can, for example, post a specific rate to a revenue account created specifically for this purpose.
Click on the button"Create revenue account" to create a new revenue account.
You can freely choose the name, the VAT rate and the account number. Of course, the account number must not already be assigned to another account. The VAT rate can't be changed after creation, to avoid posting of revenues with different VAT rates.
You can use your own revenue accounts to link them to individual posting rules.
