- Choose Edit online contract signing restrictions or Edit Salestool contract signing restrictions, depending on which channel you want to configure.
- Select the conditions in the window that opens.
- Click Save.
Configure signing restrictions and activate
To configure a contracting restriction, open Settings / Membership signing / Membership signing settings.
The Check before contract signing tile shows your current contracting restriction settings. Open the three-dot menu on this tile. You configure the online channel and the Salestool channel independently from two separate menu items:
- Edit online contract signing restrictions sets the conditions that apply to online contract signing.
- Edit Salestool contract signing restrictions sets the conditions that apply to the Salestool.
In each window, you specify the conditions under which a contract is prevented for members for whom a dataset already exists. You can select one or more of the following conditions:
- The member has open claims. You can also set an amount threshold for the claim.
- The member is in debt collection.
- There is a permanent access restriction for the member.
- The member is terminated by the studio (Terminated by studio).
- The member has not reached the minimum age (Minimum age not reached).
Click Save to activate the configuration. Repeat the steps via the other menu item if you also want to configure the second channel.
What happens when a member tries to sign a restricted contract
If a member who meets at least one of the defined restrictions tries to sign a contract online, the contract signing is not permitted. As a result, no contract is created in the software.
The same applies to the Salestool. The employee cannot proceed further in the sales process if at least one of the defined conditions applies to the selected member. By clicking more information, the employee can display the exact reason why the contract is not permitted for the member.
