This article explains why “overlapping” resources are marked as unavailable, even though they are actually available.

- Availability is calculated when the appointment is created or updated.
- Changes in resource settings are not considered until the appointment is updated.
- Resource remains marked as unavailable until the appointment is updated.
Why are “overlapping” resources marked in red, but they are, in fact, available?
The availability of a resource is only calculated when the appointment itself is created or updated; it is not automatically recalculated when resource settings like working hours, shifts, and so on are changed, or when other overlapping appointments are cancelled.
In case, you book two appointments in a row without even a minute of brake, this might cause an "unavailability" of the resource. This means that the resource was not available when the appointment was initially created. As a result, the resource would remain marked as unavailable indefinitely unless you update the appointment itself. You can do this by, for example, changing the time (even by just one minute). This update triggers the resource calculation again, which is why the resource is now marked as available.
