Members can pay faster at the Finion Pay vending terminal: the terminal now detects RFID and Mifare cards automatically on the idle screen. A member simply holds their card to the terminal and goes straight to checkout, without first selecting an option on the screen.

How it works for the member
On the idle screen the terminal scans for a card continuously. The member holds their RFID or Mifare card to the terminal, and the checkout opens directly. There is no need to select "Buy product" first, so the purchase is shorter and the barrier to buy is lower.
Payment methods and discounts
Automatic detection works with the usual Finion Pay payment options at the terminal: consumption credit, pay later, and payment via the payment run. If login for discounts or a loyalty program is enabled, automatic card detection still works and the member's benefits are applied.
Good to know
- No setup is needed. The terminal reads cards in the background by default.
- Common RFID and Mifare cards are supported. After a card migration, the new encoding is usually supported as well.
- The member is identified by their registered card, so the correct balance, discounts and payment options are applied automatically.
- If a card cannot be used, the member sees a message and can still pay by credit card, Apple Pay or another available method.
- Manual product selection still works, so a purchase can also be started the usual way.
