Frequently asked questions about invoices
Why do I receive two invoices? One from Magicline and one from MySports?
Each month you receive two invoices for Finion Pay. The invoice issued by MYSPORTS includes all online payments, such as payments from the MySports App, the MySports website, and payments of outstanding balances via payment link.
The invoice issued by MAGICLINE includes all costs incurred for payments processed via Finion Pay directly in Magicline, such as terminal payments and membership fees collected via credit card in your payment run.
What are transaction fees?
Transaction fees apply to most initiated payment processes. They are independent of the payment method or card type selected by the member and defined as a fixed amount.
Transaction fees apply whenever a payment attempt is made by a member.
Examples of actions that incur transaction fees:
- A member pays for something in your studio at the card terminal
- A member pays for something in the MySports App
- You authorize recurring payments via credit card in the member account or in the sales tool
- You execute a payment run and select a payment method supported by Finion Pay. A transaction fee applies for each member in the payment run
- A transaction fails
Examples of actions that do not incur transaction fees:
- You initiate a card terminal payment in your studio but cancel the payment on the terminal or in Magicline
- A member enters their PIN incorrectly at the card terminal and the payment is cancelled
- A member abandons an online purchase before entering credit card details or logging into PayPal
What does the number shown for transaction fees represent?
The number of transaction fees indicates how often the transaction fee was charged during the billing period. As explained above, the transaction fee also applies to unsuccessful payments, which is why failed payments are included in the number.
Why does the revenue in the transaction fee section not match my actual revenue?
The revenue listed in the transaction fee line includes not only successful transactions but also unsuccessful ones. More details can be found above.
What are payment method fees?
Payment method fees apply to each successful payment in addition to the transaction fee. The amount depends on the payment method and can be variable or fixed.
Examples of variable fees:
- Visa, Mastercard
- Girocard
- PayPal
Examples of fixed fees:
- SEPA
- BACS
- Twint
Why does the total number of payment method fees not match the actual revenue?
Revenue for payment method fees is only counted when the money has actually been debited from your member. This creates an effect often seen with terminal transactions made at the end of the month. When the payment is authorized, the transaction fee is already charged and affects revenue in the category. However, the payment method fee is only charged once the money is actually settled. It will then be invoiced the following month.
If the payment fails, no payment method fee is charged.
How often is my balance paid out?
To give you fast access to your generated revenue, Adyen pays out the accumulated balance to your registered bank account twice a week. Payouts are initiated every Tuesday and Friday.
