In this article, you'll learn how to improve your receivables communication with Magicline payment links.
What you can learn here:
What are payment links?
If you have activated Finion Pay, you can include a payment link or QR code in your (automatic) communication via e-mail, letter (e-Post) or SMS, with which your member can conveniently pay the outstanding amount from his cell phone or computer. And this is how it works:
Below you will get an insight into how the whole thing looks like for your member.
Step 1: Your member receives an e-mail, letter or SMS from you with payment information.
Your claim communication could look like this or something similar.
Step 2: Your member clicks on the link or scans the QR code and pays the outstanding items.
As soon as your member clicks on the link or scans the QR code, they will be taken to a web page that summarizes the receivable once again. This page visually adapts to your MySports configuration.
This is how the page looks, which your member then comes to:
In the next step, your member selects from the payment methods that you have configured for your studio:
Depending on the payment method chosen, your member will complete the payment process.
After your member has settled the open items, this is immediately booked in your Magicline and the member account is balanced. If you have defined access restrictions due to open items, these can be automatically eliminated with the payment.
You can find all payments made via the apps or web in Finance / Online Transactions. Furthermore, the member account will be updated with the paid amount.
How do I integrate payment links into my communication templates?
Prerequisites for including payment links in your receivables management communication templates are:
- Finion Pay is active ➜ Not yet active? More information about the activation process
Step 1: Call up your communication templates
You can find your communication templates at Communication / Administration / Templates.
If you want to create a new template for e-mail, letter, or SMS communication, click the corresponding button at the top. Select a template for reminder communication from the list.
If you want to modify an existing template, find it in the list, click on the three dots and select Edit template content.
In the template editor and you can customize your communication according to your needs.
Step 2: Add payment link placeholder to the template
Magicline supports two communication placeholders for payment links:
#PaymentPageLink
When creating an email, letter or SMS, this placeholder will be replaced with a clickable link that will direct your member to the individual payment page.
#PaymentPageQrCode
When creating an email or letter, this placeholder will be replaced with a QR code that will also take your member to the payment page.
3. reminder settings
Make sure your communication templates are also reflected in your reminder rules. Read this Help Center article to learn how.
Email example:
An email or letter communication with your member may look like this or something similar:
The following communication template was used for the example (above).
Tip: Use hyperlinks in e-mail communication
If you want to create a clickable text, create a hyperlink.
- Select the text that should open the payment page when clicked
- Click on Insert link in the menu bar
- In the URL field type #PaymentPageLink and check the "Open in new tab" box
- Click on Insert
Tip: QR codes in letter and e-mail communication
Since it would be quite tedious for your member to type out a link from a letter, you can insert a QR code into your letters and emails. The best way to make it stand out is to place it in the middle of the communication and add the link again below the QR code.
