How can I order terminals?
- As a studio, contact us with your details at info@magicline.com or schedule a consultation appointment with your account manager.
- Alternatively, you can source the terminal through your preferred hardware partner, for example your vending machine manufacturer or Bedarf.de.
- If you are a vending machine manufacturer and would like to offer this terminal, contact us at vending@finion.com.
Is it possible to rent a terminal?
No, the terminals are only available for purchase and cannot be rented.
What are the transaction fees?
For card payments (e.g. credit card, Girocard, Apple Pay, Google Pay), the standard Finion Pay transaction fees apply, which are the same as for other POS or online payments. The current prices are linked on the Marketplace website.
What does the €3 monthly service fee include?
This fee is billed together with your Management Software license and covers the following services:
- Automatic data transfer: All sales data is transmitted directly to your Management Software.
- Free replacement in case of defect: If your S1U2 terminal is defective, we will replace it free of charge.
- Integrated 4G: A built-in SIM card ensures a stable internet connection.
- Free software updates: You automatically receive all updates and bug fixes for the terminal software.
Which payment methods are supported?
Members can pay as follows:
- Static or dynamic QR code
- Mifare RFID transponder
- Common payment cards (Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay, Google Pay etc.)
Is the terminal compatible with my vending machine?
In general, the terminal is compatible with all vending machines that support the MDB standard.
Can I use the terminal indoors and outdoors?
Yes, thanks to the IP65 protection class, the device is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.
Installation & Setup
Who installs the terminal?
You install the terminal yourself. The system is designed as an easy plug-and-play solution. We do not offer an on-site technician service. If needed, we recommend contacting a local technician or the manufacturer of your vending machine.
How long does the installation take?
An experienced installer can complete the installation, including configuration in Management Software, in about half an hour.
What connection options are available?
The terminal can be connected flexibly and supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 4G (via an integrated SIM card), Ethernet, RS232, USB, MDB, and DEX.
Operation & Basic Functions
Where can I see all sales in Management Software?
You will find all sales under Finances / Vending Machines. There you can filter the data and export it as an Excel or CSV file. The sales also appear in the exports for the tax consultant portal.
Does a sale reduce the stock in Management Software?
Yes, if the sold product is marked as stockable, the stock is automatically reduced with each sale. In the case of a refund, the stock is adjusted accordingly.
Can I sell multiple products in a single transaction?
No, this is currently not possible. Each product sale represents a separate, individual payment.
Advanced Configuration & Member Benefits
Can I set special prices for members?
Yes, you can define special prices for product variants via membership or tariff codes. This way, you can offer products at discounted or even free prices for members with a specific tariff or add-on module.
Can I set up a flat rate for certain products?
Yes, to offer a flat rate (e.g. for coffee), set a special price of €0 for the corresponding product variant and link it to the desired tariff code.
Do members collect loyalty points when purchasing from the vending machine?
Yes, if your loyalty program is configured accordingly, members collect points with each vending machine purchase, just like at the counter.
What does the setting "Show confirmation" mean?
If this option is enabled, a member must actively confirm the purchase on an overview page (product and price). If you disable this option, the sales process is faster.
