What is a Gantner RFID GAT Writer 6000F?
The Gantner RFID GAT Writer 6000F is a device designed for use in radio frequency identification (RFID) systems. The Gantner GAT Writer 6000F is one of the commonly used RFID Reader of Magicline customers.
How to connect the device?
1. Go to the Magicline Settings Menu
2. Click “Device Manager”
3. Choose the 3-dot menu of your device manager
4. Click “Add device”
5. Give your device a descriptive name.
6. Choose a task
In this example, we choose “automatic check-in / out”.
7. Choose the GAT Writer 6000F.
8. Select “USB” as connection type and click “Next”.
Do not choose “USB (virtual COM-Port)"!
9. Enter the device serial number
You can find the serial number on the backplate of the GAT Writer 6000F or on the invoice. Then click “Next”.
10. Check “Show device for card reading operations”
This enables the card reader to assign member cards, to check members in via the Magicline dashboard and in the “sales” section as well.
This makes only sense to use for “manual check-in / out”.
11. Check “Prevent multiple check-in for x seconds”
This enables that multiple check-in readings are blocked. This is only useful for “automatic check-in / out”.
12. Check “Enable time tracking on check-in/check-out”
This enables the time tracking feature of the reader. Only available for ULTIMATE users.
13. Click on “Save”
