- Create and enable your product variants in your management system.
- Open Settings / Access Control / Device Manager and add your device.
- Configure parameters, serial number and shelf mapping.

1. Prepare your Finion Pay Vending Bundle
Ensure you have the following items ready:
- S1U2 Unattended Vending Machine Terminal
- MDB-to-USB Interface
- Necessary cables and adapters
- 4G Internet Antenna
- Mounting Plate Kit
- IO Cable with DC Plug Jack
- USB-C to USB-B Cable
2. Vending Machine Configuration in Your Management System
Prerequisites
- Product variants must be created and enabled in your environment. Learn how to create product variants
- Finion Pay needs to be activated in your environment. Learn how to activate Finion Pay
- A studio or company logo must be configured under Settings / Studio / Master Data.
Setup Steps
- Navigate to Settings / Access Control / Device Manager.
- Locate the device manager for Finion Pay (or Payments).
- Open the context menu and select Add device.
Step 1 – Device Configuration
- Name: Assign a name to your device.
- Task: Vending Machine
- Device Model: Finion Pay S1U2
- Connection Type: Device API
Step 2 – Parameter Settings
- Password: Sets admin access on the terminal.
- Show Purchase Confirmation: Enables a confirmation screen.
- Allow Identification via RFID: Enable if required.

Allow Identification via QR Code: Enable if needed.
Note: If both are disabled, only card-based payments are possible.
Step 3 – Additional Configuration
- Card Terminal Serial Number: Enter the serial number printed on the terminal.
- Payment Options: Activate available payment methods.

Product Variant to Shelf Configuration: Assign internal slot numbers used by the vending machine.
Example: Visible shelf number = 10 → internal number = 1 (offset –9). Contact your vending machine manufacturer for exact slot mapping. - Vending Idle Timeout (ms): Defines how long the terminal waits for input.
- Vending Product Draw Timeout (ms): Defines the waiting time for product dispense confirmation.
Click Save to apply your settings.
3. Physical Installation on Your Vending Machine
Important: Configure the terminal in your backend before connecting it to the vending machine.
- Use the mounting plate to attach the S1U2 terminal securely.
- Connect the vending machine to the POS terminal according to the wiring diagram.
- Optionally install the 4G antenna if Wi-Fi or Ethernet is unavailable.
- Power on the terminal.
4. Configuration of the Vending Machine Terminal & Pairing with Your System
- Follow the on-screen steps to connect via Wi-Fi, Ethernet or 4G.
- The Finion Pay Vending Bull App installs and launches automatically.
- Accept USB access permissions if prompted.
- Tap four times in the top-left corner to open the admin menu (password: 1234).
- Enter your tenant name and tap “Save”.

- Close the admin menu.
5. Conduct a Test Sale
- Select a product and perform a test purchase using RFID, QR Code, or card.
- Ensure the product is dispensed correctly and the transaction completes successfully.
Your vending machine terminal is now fully operational and ready for use.
