1. Prepare Your Finion Pay Vending Bundle
Ensure you have the following items ready:
- S1U2 Unattended Vending Machine Terminal
- MDB-to-USB Interface
- Necessary cables and adaptors
- 4G Internet Antenna

2. Configure in Magicline
- Prerequisites: Ensure product variants are created and Finion Pay is activated.
- Access Magicline: Go to Settings / Access Control / Device Manager.

Add Device:
- Name your device and select configuration options (Task: Vending Machine, Model: Finion Pay S1U2).
- Set parameters such as password and identification methods.
- Enter terminal serial number and configure payment options.
3. Physical Installation
- Mount Terminal: Use the mounting plate to attach the terminal to your vending machine.
- Connect: Attach the terminal to the vending machine and power it on.
- Network Setup: Connect to Wi-Fi, Ethernet, or 4G network.
4. Finalize Configuration

Installation Guide
1. Prepare Your Finion Pay Vending Bundle
Your package includes the following items:
- 1x S1U2 Unattended Vending Machine Terminal
- 1x MDB-to-USB Interface
- Cables
- DC Plug Adaptor
- IO Cable with DC Plug Jack
- 4G Internet Antenna with 2x SMB Locker
- Mounting Plate Kit
- USB-C to USB-B Cable
2. Vending Machine Configuration in Magicline
Prerequisites
- Ensure the product variants you wish to sell are created and whitelisted in your location. Learn how to create product variants.
- Finion Pay must be activated in your studio. Learn how to activate Finion Pay.
- A logo for your studio should be configured under Settings / Studio / Master Data (Studio).
Setup Steps
- Navigate to Settings / Access Control / Device Manager in Magicline.
- Locate the device manager named Finion Pay (or Magicline Payments).
- Click on the context menu and select Add device.
Step 1 – Device Configuration
- Name: Assign a name to your device.
- Task: Vending Machine
- Device Model: Finion Pay S1U2
- Connection Type: Device API
Step 2 – Parameter Settings

Password: Set a password for accessing the admin menu on the terminal. This is used to restart the app or view error logs.

Show Purchase Confirmation: Enable to display a confirmation screen after product selection.

Allow Identification via RFID: Enable for RFID-based sales.

Allow Identification via QR Code: Enable for QR Code-based sales.
Note: If both RFID and QR Code options are disabled, members can only pay with cards (e.g., Apple Pay, Google Pay, or physical cards).
Step 3 – Additional Configuration
- Card Terminal Serial Number: Enter the serial number found on the terminal or its box (format: S1U2-000123456789123).
- Payment Option: Specify available payment features.

Product Variant to Shelf Configuration: In this section, you need to set up which product variant goes into each slot of your vending machine. Be aware that some vending machines have a difference between the visible slot number that users select and the internal slot number used by the machine to communicate with the POS Terminal. Make sure to enter the internal slot number here.
Example: The visible shelf number might be 10, but its internal number could be 1, resulting in an offset of -9. Please contact your vending machine manufacturer for more details
- Vending Idle Timeout (ms): This setting defines how long (in milliseconds) the machine waits for user input before canceling the sale.
- Vending Product Draw Timeout (ms): This setting determines how long (in milliseconds) the machine waits for confirmation that a product has been dispensed. If the product is not registered as dispensed within this time, the sale is canceled, and your member will receive a refund.
Click Save to validate your settings. Once the terminal is created, proceed to mount and power it on.
3. Physical Installation on Your Vending Machine
Important: Configure the terminal in Magicline before connecting it to the vending machine for proper boarding with your Finion Pay account.
Installation Steps
- Use the mounting plate kit to secure the S1U2 Terminal to your vending machine.
- Connect the vending machine to the POS Terminal as shown in the provided diagram.
- Optionally, connect the 4G Antenna if Ethernet or Wi-Fi is unavailable.
- After configuration in Magicline and mounting, power on the terminal.
4. Configuration of the Vending Machine Terminal and pairing with Magicline

Follow on-screen instructions to connect to Wi-Fi, Ethernet, or 4G.

Finion Pay App "Vending Bull" is installed and launched automatically

Upon first launch you might be prompted to accept that the Vending Bull App can access the USB Port of the Device. Please accept this setting.
- Tap four times in the top left corner of the terminal to open the Admin menu using the default password: 1234.
- In the Admin menu, set your tenant name and click "Save."

5. Conduct a Test Sale
- Test Purchase: Select a product from the vending machine and complete a purchase using one of the configured payment methods (e.g., RFID, QR Code, or card).
- Verify Functionality: Ensure the transaction processes smoothly and that the product is dispensed correctly.
